What is our role in disciple-making if God is the one who does the work? In Acts 4:20 Peter and John said, "For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard." Our role in disciple-making has to be speaking about what we have "seen and heard" God do in our lives and the lives of others.

It was a cold Saturday morning and only a few turned out. We met in an empty parking lot in the middle of one of the highest crime neighborhoods in Virginia. The believers that gathered were from an intercity church and Regent University. We met to walk and pray for that particular community.

Recently, we hosted the African American Congress on Discipleship here in Norfolk, VA. We had almost 300 present, with attendees traveling across America to be with us. The theme was Individual Discipleship: Each One Of Us Investing Our Life In That Of Another.

Kerry-Ann works in partnership with our Nav ministry in the Tidewater Metro area of Virginia through her church. She works with the Urban Discovery ministry by helping people get their GED, helping girls with their self esteem, helping single moms become better mothers and value their children and, most of all, helping people learn about God and knowing Him better.

Isaiah 42:16 "I will lead the blind by a way they do not know. In paths they do not know I will guide them." This is a promise we are seeing God fulfill. His guidance is for us to wait. As we wait, He has asked us to pray for our cities, because when the city prospers, its people prosper (Jeremiah. 29:7).
